Post-hardcore sort of stuff from Switzerland.
Windshelter is a dynamic Swiss post-hardcore band that fuses intense melodies with powerful rhythms,
creating a sonic experience that resonates with passion and energy. Our music blends various inspirations
to craft a distinctive sound that pushes boundaries and captivates audiences.
• 2015-2020
Formed in 2015, Windshelter has steadily evolved, refining its musical expression and gradually building
a dedicated fanbase. We have curated a sort of post-hardcore sound, drawing from diverse influences. In
these early years, the band laid the foundation for our compelling artistic journey. Leading to our very first
release named Closure, which we produced ourselves.
After several performances on local stages and our first tour across France and Switzerland in 2020, we
returned to the studio with a new vocalist, which led to the creation of a series of six singles. These tracks
were mixed and mastered by Lewis Johns (Employed to Serve, Modern Error, Rolo Tomassi, Svalbard),
further enhancing our evolving sound.
• 2020-2023
Sébastien’s arrival as our new vocalist brought a fresh perspective to the band, inspiring new ideas and
energy. We continued to perform regularly, gaining valuable experience along the way. All the dedication
and hard work we put into this project culminated in the incredible opportunity to play at Greenfield Festival in 2023.
• 2024- ...
In 2024, we released a double EP entitled Ethereal / Eternal. The first part, Ethereal, came out on February
2nd, while Eternal was released on November 1st. Once again, we self-produced this project, but this time,
we teamed up with Kel Pinchin (mixing engineer) and Grant Berry (mastering engineer). Throughout the
year, we continued to play memorable shows, connecting with fans and growing our community. We also
released a vinyl, with Ethereal on side A and Eternal on side B, offering our fans a physical piece of this
journey.
Looking ahead, our main goal is to perform even more shows and showcase the most mature material
we’ve created to date. Additionally, we’ve begun the exciting process of creating our first full-length album,
marking the beginning of the next chapter in Windshelter’s history.
