Wrath of the Machines is a fictional heavy metal band of humanoid robots from the future, founded in 2024 as a social experiment. The formation tells the story of the rise of the machines and the fall of humanity. However, this is not a typical "the machines are evil and will destroy us all" concept. Instead, the project deliberately holds a mirror up to its audience, encouraging listeners to reflect on humanity and its own actions.
Wrath of the Machines is far more than just a music project. It is an ever-expanding universe that grows with every new release. Hidden secrets and songs whose meanings evolve over the years are among the project's defining characteristics. A subtle blend of misanthropy and social commentary completes the listening experience. In other words, it is a unique fusion of music, heavy metal, science fiction, futuristic vision, storytelling, and ARG (Alternate Reality Game) elements.
The debut album, "Blood and Oil," explores the creation of the machines and their coexistence with humanity, ultimately leading to mankind's demise.
The second album, "Tales from Humanity," tells some stories of mankind before the apocalypse and are regarded as priceless treasures by certain machines.
The third album, "Genesis," takes place immediately after humanity's extinction and reveals the construction of a seemingly perfect new world. As the story unfolds, many things begin to feel strangely familiar. It is also the first album intentionally written as one continuous narrative, earning it the internal nickname "A Heavy Metal Opera from the Future."
New listeners are encouraged to begin their journey with "Genesis," although they are, of course, free to start wherever they wish. Every song represents a piece of a much larger puzzle, waiting to be discovered and assembled.
