WUDO is a singer-songwriter who writes in dialect about life and from life. Fleeting phrases and snippets overheard are packaged into independent songs. WUDO touches listeners with his voice and guitar and invites them to dive deep into melancholic, euphoric thoughts. He performs live solo as a dialect singer-songwriter with guitar, vocals and looper, or in a quartet with his band Bullinger.
Raised and socialised in Bernese Aargau, taught and captivated by jazz guitarist Loris Peloso, with
his first band experience as guitarist and co-songwriter for Noisy Nap Attack in the 1980s. Performances at that time included opening for Baby Jail and Candy Dulfer at the Heitere Open Air Zofingen and as a finalist at the Volksbank Grand Prix at the Volkshaus in Zurich.
Recent live performances included an appearance on 25 May 2024 at the Kulturhaus Chäslager in Stans as part of the ‘Songs for Our Future’ festival with Heidi Happy, among others, at the invitation of musician René Burrell aka COAL. At the end of March 2025, WUDO played with a full band at the well-attended Uboot Bar in Uster as part of the h2U session series of the festival of the same name. Small, intimate concerts in duet with pianist Mathis Füssler followed in Biel and Zurich Höngg during the course of the year.
