Biography

2013, Winterthur, Switzerland: Five guys are having a beer in their favorite bar. But they’re hungry for more. Hungry for Hardrock. Straightforward, handmade, sweat-drenched and raw Hardrock. The kind of Hardrock that is way too rarely played nowadays. They found a band with a name that should feel just like their music: like a fist in your face! XII Gallon Overdose was born.
Since their founding in 2013 the five members of XII Gallon Overdose have conquered the stages by storm with their highly energetic sound. Hard riffs and deep basses meet solos that make every Angus Young fan’s heart beat faster. Shows as an opening act for Status Quo, as headliner of Winterthurer Musikfestwochen and at numerous festivals in Switzerland and around prove that XII Gallon Overdose earned a place among the best Swiss Hardrock bands. Their performance at the European Emergenza Bandcontest was awarded as best live act. This is no surprise, as their shows are always bursting with energy. Solid guitars, howling solos, a grating voice and a twelve gallon of balls: Those are the ingredients for the unmistakable sound of XII Gallon Overdose.
