Biography
Born in western Switzerland, autodidact musician based in Bern, D. Meyer, a.k.a. Yeda, was influenced by the music of Vangelis, Jarre and Moroder in his early years. As a teenager, he always traveled with a Sony walkman full of music mixes from the 80s and 90s in his backpack. He never learned to write or read notes but all his ideas and compositions remained in his memory for years. In 2019, after several unsuccessful attempts ( lack of technical knowledge, cheap software) he equipped himself with a new digital audio workstation and began during his free time on weekends to record a few tracks. At the end, he decided to do the mixing, mastering and production himself, even though he knew it wouldn't be the best quality... the desire was to make an album from beginning to end, including design and photography.
Yeda, now 45, presents, with his album "Somewhere in the timelessness" released in 2022, his vision of a time of change through music that is a bit retro but full of timeless memories...
