Tobias Frey, Y WE TRY, Music is diverse and cannot be easily categorized. His influences range from classical composers like Bach, Mahler, and Handel to modern pop artists. Current projects: Last year, Tobias produced 20 pop songs with producer Jeffrey Rulloda at NJP Studios and Phil Harrison, a producer and sound engineer in Winterthur, 10 English and Swiss-German songs, as well as many more songs with other producers from the USA, England, and Germany. Under the project name "Y We Try," he creates modern pop with disco elements and powerful ballads. He equally uses synthesizers and samples as well as real instruments like guitars, accordion, violins, and entire orchestras, which he records in Prague. Even in school, Tobias Frey knew that windows were a great source of inspiration – much to the chagrin of his kindergarten teacher and primary school teachers, who often complained to his parents that he was always dreamily looking out. While other children pondered math problems, Tobias dreamed of melodies he picked up from his Bach and Mahler-loving father or from the radio. These swirled around in his head and developed until they finally turned into complete songs and compositions. Who would have thought that daydreams could be so productive? This time probably shaped Tobias musically the most and laid the foundation for his musical future.
