ZULIMMAT is a music project born in Zurich, a city that is more than a backdrop to its music: it runs through it, feeds it, and is in turn transformed into sound. Trams, stations, nights along the Limmat, lights, departures, encounters and silences become points of reference for a narrative that moves from the urban landscape towards an inner one. Moving between electronic music, ambient and urban dub, cinematic atmospheres and experimental elements, ZULIMMAT absorbs places and experiences and reshapes them through a personal sensibility. Zurich may be directly present, merely evoked, or disappear completely: what remains is the emotional trace it has left behind. The songs move through intimate territories - memory, time, consciousness, absence and transformation - alongside the life of a city observed and experienced by day and by night. Lyrics play a central role: they often begin with concrete images, places or experiences and turn towards what happens within us, moving across emotional, psychological and philosophical dimensions. They do not necessarily seek answers; instead, they leave open spaces where personal experience and universal questions can meet. The project also moves between different languages, primarily Italian, German and English, following whichever voice feels most natural for what each piece wants to express.
ZULIMMAT moves through places with all its senses, absorbs them through emotion and transforms them into music. It is there that the outer landscape becomes an inner one.
