3p3rc3nto The Origins
We have deep roots in the nineties at the time of Nevermind & The Rage Against the Machine ('91), the times of independent labels. We narrowly missed Catherine Wheel's "Ferment" tour in '92. However, we did it again the following year with Blur still almost unknown on tour with the double EP "Chemical World", two records that powerfully influenced our beginnings. All born in the seventies we threw our youth against that sick system which today has become the dominant reality, the first to notice it already in the seventies people like Pasolini, Gaber, etc...
We have played in various groups in Mendrisiotto since the end of the eighties, I feel affection and gratitude for all those who have joined us in music and I am sure it is the same for the other band members.
In the mid-nineties we tried to bring together all these alternative realities under an independent wing that could make sense of all that anger, that desire to change the world, someone in its own way succeeded, I don't want to name names but... small labels, interesting realities in Ticino that have made a piece of history, some still survive today, in short, many have not noticed or have pretended not to see but underground Ticino exists and has existed for ages I suspect.
First steps
When in 2012 with two guitars on the river and a passerby on the other bank who stopped to listen, then Marco who thought we were alone after a nice improvisation just for laughs told me: "2%"; from that moment the desire to stop at the simple things, the small daily joys which are those that give meaning to life...
The first line-up was born (acoustic guitar, bass, and percussion - Ef, Marco, and Marco), On The Road, proposing mostly the most disparate covers, to name a few: Radiohead, Verve, Bowie, Litfiba, Pulp, Christine Hersh, Perl Jam, Adorable, Nirvana and so on I would like to mention them all; I have a few hundred covers under my belt, always looking for a niche songwriting that had previously been a subject of study for me, now I was ready to share what I had learned.
The transformation
Towards the end of summer 2015, returning from a trip to Spain and having lost Marco on percussion who moved overseas, something clicked; the desire to turn on the amplifiers and embrace electric guitar and bass again was too strong, so the meeting with the current drummer Zeus immediately gave us the right energy. It all happened in a few months. Having resumed my compositions, we held the first rehearsals towards the end of 2015, the enthusiasm and desire for rock brought us to the first concert in a few months on 27 February 2016. Thus the core group was formed (guitar, bass, and drums - Ef, Mark, and Zeus)
Having understood the magic of the number three with new awareness, everything continued to revolve around the law of synergy (1+1=3) even when we went out with two, four, or more, we were always guided by synergy (1+1=3) both in the years spent on the road and then in the great pleasure of returning to the rehearsal room. it all seems to start from a simple exchange between two instruments that communicate with music and individuality comes together exponentially
Everyone's professional commitments led us to slow down a little but still, three good concerts in 2016 then on March 31, 2017, the first EP and relative presentation concert; this brings us to the “Festa della Musica” in Mendrisio in June and several more concerts until the end of 2018.
I Briganti dell’Amigdala
In 2019, the unavailability of the other members brought me back to a more acoustic dimension. Briganti dell'Amigdala was born and, thanks to various collaborations, in particular Luca on percussion, they bring that somewhat sophisticated songwriting that was mine around small venues. master in music and life.
Precisely during those acoustic evenings in various clubs in the area it struck me like a bolt of lightning and I realized that I was finally able to convey the right energy; emotions become the basis on which we continue to build our music both as authors and as performers.
3p3rc3nto are inextricably linked to these collaborations for me, music unites and enriches the baggage of each of us, increasingly aware of the fact that every contribution, every new friend, exponentially increases the strength of the group, hence the decision to honor all those who collaborated with us, even just for one evening, with the title of "Honorary Brigands" with the slogan: Brigands once, Brigands forever!
In short, true outlaws when it comes to arousing emotions, break into your senses by combining our musical skills; I sincerely thank all those who mixed with us in music and with music, in this and previous projects because thanks to these emotions we are today the one we are!
Awareness
We're off to a great start in 2023 to collect what we've done in recent years. On May 12th, the first single of a new era for 3p3rc3nto was released, thanks also to the contribution of the new guitarist.

With great excitement we are working hard to create our Italian indie rock by mixing slightly noisy psychedelic influences, with a grunge frankness that ranges from direct messages to the most intimate reflections, we are putting all the transformative power of music, heart, and soul, in a series of singles that will accompany us until the writing of the first real album.
