“Some people heal. We just write songs about it.” CODE ALICE is Dark Pop that goes down like honey laced with battery acid—hypnotic, glazed, and sticky on the surface, but underneath, serrated synths cut through like razor wire. Since dropping Horror Stories in late 2023, the Anglo-Swiss duo based in Bern (CH) has been making noise online, building a loyal TikTok community and racking up close to a million Spotify streams—all self-produced, all self-promoted. Their tracks have been picked up by major Swiss radio stations like SRF3 and SRF Virus in heavy rotation, with spins on German radio too. Since early 2025, CODE ALICE has been on the roster of Los Angeles-based sync agency onestop, which is currently pitching several of its songs for major series productions by Netflix, Paramount+ and HBO.
Behind the music? Singer Grace Willis and producer/multi-instrumentalist Yvo Brönnimann, two artists who’d rather turn their demons into songs than pretend they’re fine. Both have experience from playing over 100 live shows with their previous bands. Marc Egloff (drums) and Joel Fahrni (bass and keys) join them for gigs as their live band and bring that extra energy to the stage. Right now, they’re deep in the studio, crafting their next EP which will be released end of 2025.
