Fabienne Palasciano is a Swiss-born singer, songwriter, performer and backup singer, who since 1979 travels between Rock, Jazz, Blues, Rhythm 'n' Blues and Soul. She is currently based in Ticino (Italian-speaking Switzerland), after having lived between Lausanne, Brussels, Paris and Montreal. She enjoys working with musicians from different geographical and cultural backgrounds.
Born in Lausanne on May 20, 1959, she starts her career in Belgium in 1979 as a backup singer and then as a lead singer of the group ''Blue Book''. She recorded and signed her first vinyl in 1980 with "Vogue" Belgium.
1982, under the name of K Loren, she records ‘’Trop Belle’’ and signs with Arabella France (BMG), produced by Philippe Lafontaine, with Michel Esquelin,
Juan d'Oultremont and Bernard St-Paul.
In 1985, between Montreal and Brussels, she took part in various festivals.
She has accompanied as a backup singer, various international artists such as: Murray Head, The Kids, The Nits, Louise Forestier, Franck Olivier.
1994, for the Swiss Eurosong final, she will go to Malmö with Franco Thaler, TSI producer.
In 1994, she took part in the Montreux-Jazz Festival (off) with Swiss and Canadian musicians.
In 1995, she won the Petit Prix Walo in Zurich for the best performer.
In 1998, in London, she shared the stage with Joe Cocker, as backup singer.
At the beginning of 2000, she moved to Ticino CH.
June 2011 in Chicago she is special guest of Sweet Bev Perron, during the ''Chicago Blues Festival'' and will participate in various concerts, jam sessions, showcases.
August 2011, she sings at the "Tenero Music Nights" and "Blues To Bop" Festivals, Lugano, guest of JC Harpo Band.
From 2012 to 2018, singer of Evolving 5et (Milano), with Giorgio Di Tullio, Luca Pasqua, Luca Cacucciolo, Tullio Ricci, Massimo Ciaccio & Luca Scansani, she participated in ‘’Aspettando Estival Jazz’’ Lugano, ‘’Caslano Bluesnights’’.
Blues & Jazz clubs : Berlin, Hamburg, Vienna, Bari etc.
In 2012, she collaborated in acoustics with the bluesman Marco Marchi.
During all these years the singer has shared the stage with Ronnie Hicks, Sharon Lewis, LeBurn Maddox, Sweet Bev Perron, Max Dega and others.
She was presenter between 2015 and 2018, of the ‘’Bellinzona Blues Sessions’’ CH.
2018 sees the release of “Neg Mawon Déwô”, the latest opus by Martinican trombonist Pierre Chabrèle, composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist; the singer participates as a guest, interpreting and writing the French text of ''Protect your Planet'', taken from the album.
2019
A new project: ‘’Horizons’’, and an album in 2022 for the singer, who presents herself with an international group: The Southern Sound Movement. Composed of musicians recognized on the Italian and European scenes such as guitarist Luca Pasqua and drummer Stefano Bertolotti, as well as Paris based martinican trombonist Pierre Chabrèle, a multi-instrumentalist who is also the bass player of this project. He is joined by saxophonist Mirko Roccato in the brass section.
