🎷 Isa G – Between heartbeat and saxophone 🎷
Music was her home from an early age: school band in high school, then from 1999 to 2005 with the Stadtmusikjugend Uster youth orchestra. This was followed by the “sensible” path into medicine – apprenticeship, further training, career. Successful, but not happy inside. Her heart wanted music.
2021 was the turning point: she set up her own home studio, attended a workshop with Dodo in his kitchen, and produced her first song, “Ghei is Glas.” Since then, she has been constantly creating new songs and projects.
Isa G is an integral part of Wicht's albums. In 2021, she also met Bone Beatz and Aylin – a long-overdue collaboration. As the regular saxophonist for the band Baobab & Chéjs Romero, she performs live on stage with a mix of reggae, multilingual soul, and rap, and has also performed with Collie Herb, among others.
Since 2021, she has been working intensively with her mentor Mark Hauser on technique, endurance, and music theory—her rock in the surf.
Today, Isa G is a songwriter, producer, composer, video clip designer, and saxophonist all in one—with humor and many “birds in her head.”
Her saxophone, specially made for her in Amsterdam by Friso Heidinga (Amsterdam Wind) and signed by Candy Dulfer, is her pride and joy.
Fame at any price? No!
Isa G's biggest dream is a life with more music, passion, doing what she loves, and bringing medicine and music more into harmony.
