The band Just Wholesome is made up of Claudio Zaniolo, born in Canada, and Bruce Schneider, born in Switzerland.
Both have been composing unpublished material for many years in a private studio in the southern part of Switzerland.
Bruce plays guitar and bass and his musical background comes from rock, blues, and pop.
He is also very knowledgeable when it comes to modifying guitars; in fact he has many requests to customize guitars for fellow musicians.
In the 80’s Bruce played soloist for the band “ New Dream”. This band was much appreciated, being that they were one of the few cover bands in the area that played Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Status Quo, Beatles and many more.
In that period of time, Bruce usually played his Gibson SG custom when doing a live gig and a young teenager from Lamone always showed up very attentive to the riffs and solos that Bruce was playing.
From that moment on, with dedication and great love for music, that teenager "Leo", became one of the fonders of the famous Rock Band, Gotthard.
In 1993, Bruce recorded a cd containing 8 songs entitled :
Claudio , ex- keyboard player of the band “ Rumple Stilzken Comune”, also recorded a record in the 70’s in the studio of the famous Italian singer Mina. Also in that period the band played as an introductory band to the famous Premiata Forneria Marconi (PFM).
He comes from a background of classical music and progressive rock.
These days Claudio works as a piano technician. He did his training in Canada but has been in Ticino for the last 10 years.
His moment of joy is when he can find a new bizarre sound on the synthesizer.
The lyrics are clean and wholesome, no foul language, with a practical, meaningful message and some intelligence behind the words - something that today has become rare.
For this reason the band has the name “Just Wholesome”.
A particular characteristic of their music is that they try to incorporate sound effects where ever possible so as to enrich the music and make it come alive to the listener.
