Biography
Lino Lavista is a talented Italian pop and RnB songwriter and music producer who discovered his passion for music at a young age. He began with small live performances and gained greater attention in 2003 through the support of rapper “Toe” from the band Lyrischi Zone. Under the stage name “Pasquale,” he produced his own songs and performed as part of the Ruff Nuff production.
His breakthrough came when he performed as an opening act for well-known bands at the opening show of Open Air Buchs AG. In the same year, he decided to change his artist name to “Lino Lavista.” Since then, numerous television appearances and further successes followed in Italy, where he established himself as a musician and producer.
Throughout his career, Lino Lavista has achieved many milestones and established himself as a versatile artist and producer. In 2007, he won the Stargovia competition by Radio Argovia with his song “Balla Bella” and released his debut album “Emozione Diversa.” Since 2008, he has been producing not only his own music but also songs for other artists under his own music label, Lavista Records.
In 2010, in collaboration with Schakemy Records from Basel, he produced the song “Guardami In Faccia.” The same year, together with Spanish producers Toni G and Kato Jimnez, he released the song “Una Favola.” In 2013, he released the Latin-pop track “Quest’estate,” for which DJ Dune and RemiJay created remixes. Further successful songs followed, including the RnB track “Voglio Navigare” in 2014, featuring Italian rapper Shot.
In 2015, he participated in the casting for the Eurovision Song Contest with the Latin-inspired song “Sempre Lei,” whose various remixes received great recognition. In the following years, he collaborated with artists such as Lisa Fabris and Marialuna, achieving chart placements on Google Play.
In 2017 and 2018, he continued his career by releasing, among others, the single “Vai,” which he personally produced, arranged, and wrote. In 2019, together with DJ Paul One, he produced a house remix version of the famous song “Bella Ciao.” During the pandemic in 2020, he launched the remote project “In Quarantena,” collaborating with international artists such as Dagmar Trevisan and Gianluca Voltolina.
In 2021, Lino Lavista, together with Bruno Schackemy, created the song “Innamorato di Te,” accompanied by a 4K music video produced by Michael Mühlemann and broadcast on the Italian TV channel Canale Italia. In 2022, in collaboration with the company IWB Basel, he released the song “Blackout,” and in 2023, together with Tom Oliver, he released a tropical house remix of “Il Sole e il Mare.”
In 2024, together with producer Thomas Vogt, he released the song “Un Minuto,” while the collaboration with Bernd Rieger resulted in the single “Fammi Sognare.” In 2025, Bernd Rieger became Lino Lavista’s main producer, leading to further projects, including the song “Lui Non Lo Sa.”
Over the years, Lavista collaborated with renowned producers such as Ajdo Alioski, Philip Fiumi, Thomas Vogt, Bruno Schackemy, Tony Castell (guitarist of Krokus), DJ Cut A Kaos (one of Switzerland’s first techno DJs), Tom Oliver (Cafe del Mar), Sunrider (The Bomb), Mariucch, Antonio Frodella, Toni G, Kato Jimnez, Filadelfo Castro (Rita Pavone), and Bernd Rieger (Gianna Nannini). He also worked with numerous rappers and artists such as Gunvor, KEI, Don Max, and ZET. These partnerships resulted in a series of successful music videos.
Throughout his career, Lino Lavista has not only collaborated with talented producers and artists but also with renowned musicians. Particularly noteworthy is his collaboration with Italian bassist Pino Saracini, who has played for famous artists such as Eros Ramazzotti and Tiziano Ferro. Guitarist Simone Gianlorenzi, who has also worked with Eros Ramazzotti, contributed to the musical diversity of Lino Lavista’s productions.
These collaborations with experienced musicians helped Lino Lavista refine his songs and elevate his music to an international level.
Film & Media
In addition to his music career, Lino Lavista has also gained experience in film.
In 2008, he appeared for the first time as an extra in the cinema film “Der letzte Weynfeldt.”
After a creative break, he focused on new music releases before appearing again in 2014 as an extra in the FIFA 2014 film project.
In the following years, he produced numerous music videos for both his own projects and for other artists and companies.
In 2025, Lino received his first acting role in the feature film “Hallo Betty,” where he demonstrated his acting talent in the role of the guest “Massimo.”
His performance marked the beginning of a new creative chapter — Lino Lavista is ready to explore new paths on the big screen as well.
In 2026, Lino Lavista received a major supporting role in the film “Denari e Bastoni,” directed by Marco Grosso. In the movie, he plays the character “Pasquale” and had the opportunity to work alongside well-known Italian actor Enzo Salomone.
In this film, scheduled for release in 2027, Lino Lavista once again demonstrates his talent as an actor.
