Maura Oricchio is an actress and performer born in Lugano.
Her artistic training began in 2010 by attending courses at the Theater Academy
Markus Zohner Academy and the Aplomb ballet school, both in Lugano.
In 2014 she perfected her artistic skills thanks to a scholarship at the Länsi-
Suomen Opisto Art Academy in Huittinen (Finland).
Between 2015 and 2017, Maura continued her training at MTS Musical The School, a
of the most renowned performing arts academies in Milan. During the same period, she achieves
she also holds a diploma in “Music Theater Performance” from the University of West London, College of
Music.
Her career began in 2016 playing roles in productions such as "Titanic" at Open-Air
Theater of Melide, “Saturday night fever” and “Die Schöne und das Biest" both at the Walensee-
Bühne. In 2019 she participated in “Jesus Christ Superstar" and “Rock of ages" in Le Théâtre di Emmen
and she works as a voice actress for La2 Doc at Digilab Recording studios in Cureglia.
In 2020 she is an actress in several short films under the direction of international directors such as
Leandro Sosa (Argentina), Valeria Recmanova (Czech Rep.) and Annabella Frank (USA).
In 2021, Maura appears as an actress in "Il Viaggio di Emma" produced by Produzioni Dal Basso a
Catania, short film winner of the “Female Filmmakers Festival Berlin”. She continues her studies
at The Bernstein School of Musical Theater in Bologna, participating in the Alta program
Training in Musical Theater. In 2022, she is she in the theater with “Space Dream" at the Maag Halle in
Zurich, “Anastasia" at the Landestheater of Linz and actress in "Falò" for RSI Radio television
Swiss.
Maura Oricchio continues her theater career in “Dällebach Kari" at the Thunerseefestspiele and in
“Der Löwe der nicht schreiben konnte" at the Bernhard Theater in Zurich, both in 2023.
She is currently in the cast of the Vienna Volksoper in “West Side Story”.
Starting from 2023 she is part of the ATAP Steering Committee and is actively committed to bringing
forward the values of the association together with her colleagues.
