Megges gained attention with the sarcastic anti-war song “Der Dritte”, which became an insider tip on Spotify and social media. With the single “Tanz”, international breakthrough in the independent scene followed: more than 1,000 international radio airplays, number 9 in the European Independent Music Charts, and a widely acclaimed music video created with the Bamberg Marionette Theatre introduced the artist to a broader audience for the first time. In addition, the single entered the Top 10 of the German iTunes rock and pop charts.
Live, Megges and his band develop a distinctive combination of intensity and closeness to the audience. More than 50 concerts have taken the formation across Germany and Switzerland, including Berlin, Basel, Bern, and Bamberg. Megges was also part of the “Weise & Leise” festival series presented by the music magazine musix.
The band’s international line-up has a clearly audible influence on its sound: between alternative rock, singer-songwriter influences, and poetic German-language lyrics, a sonic identity with strong recognizability emerges.
Megges is currently working with his band on their debut album, scheduled for release in autumn 2026. Preparations are already underway for further tours and support shows with nationally known acts.
