Rosewood have long been a well-established name in Switzerland’s Americana
and modern country scene. Founded in 2014, the band quickly
embarked on a remarkable musical journey.
Performances at renowned venues and festivals such as the Trucker & Country
Festival Interlaken, Country Music Festival Albisgütli, Openair Klewenalp, Ride
West, Stadtkeller Luzern, Baronessa Lenzburg and Kulturschachtle Adliswil – to
name just a few – have earned the band a steadily growing and loyal fan base.
Rosewood have also performed in Germany and other European countries,
including Austria and Spain.
Shortly after the band was founded, Rosewood received the Swiss Country
Music Award for “Best Band”. Their song “Life Is Good” was also honoured
with the award for Best Song.
In 2020, the band followed up with their debut album Miles And Stories, which
entered the Swiss album charts directly in the Top 10 during its first week.
In early 2026, Rosewood broke new ground with the release of their EP Season
I – The Studio Sessions. All songs were recorded as live sessions in the studio –
no safety net, no second takes. The honesty, warmth and deep connection
between the five band members can be both felt and heard throughout the
recordings. All songs are original compositions, driven by earthy guitars,
organic rhythms and voices that tell stories of change, time and love.
The five musicians are continuously working on new songs, which they are
developing and releasing in stages as part of the continuation of their Studio
Sessions.
Their latest songs regularly receive airplay on Radio Swiss Pop, SRF 1 and
various relevant independent radio stations in Switzerland and abroad.
With a passionate and captivating live show, Rosewood draw their audience in
from the very first moment, creating an atmosphere that resonates long after
the final note. Whether on an intimate club stage or in front of a festival crowd,
the band impresses with passion, authenticity and a genuine connection with
their audience.
