Though they grew up in the heart of the South Tyrolean Alps, their music sounds like a cocktail on a Hawaiian beach:
In true surfer style with laid-back retro vibes, Since11 takes a break from everyday life, diving into groovy tunes, catchy hooks, and cool guitar riffs. Somewhere between indie and rock music, the voices of Claus Stecher and Philipp Trojer collide and merge in a harmony and variety that's rarely heard.
Since 2011, Philipp and Claus have shared the stage hundreds of times, and those who have seen them live know how captivating they can be. Their charismatic presence, carefree attitude, and playful spirit create a unique energy that they pass on to their audience.
In their songs, Since11 searches for the extraordinary in the ordinary, tells stories taken straight from life, and describes what moves the artist's soul — often with a wink, inviting listeners not to take themselves or life too seriously.
Claus and Philipp began their journey in 2011 as an acoustic cover duo. During their performances, the two take the audience on a time-travel journey to their personal roots: raw and unembellished, with just two guitars and two voices, Since11 delivers cover versions of rock and pop songs that have shaped them musically and accompanied them on their journey as musicians.
Their innovative interpretations can be heard on the studio album “NoLogo Gentlemen’s Club” (2014) and the live album “Potzblitz.Session” (2020). To this day, Since11 continues to perform also as a duo.
In 2022, Claus and Philipp opened a new chapter: the EP “Home From Holidays” features, for the first time, five songs that the duo wrote together and recorded with a full band lineup. Despite this, the band's acoustic and minimalist character remains intact. The songs sound handcrafted, organic, and clearly convey the joy with which Since11 approaches their music.
The follow-up EP “Kinky Universe, Random Trouble” is set to be released in October 2024. With this release, Since11 takes the next logical step: the song arrangements are more refined, electric guitar sounds take on a greater role, and the duo has kind of fine-tuned their individual sound. For the first time, this EP will also be brought to the stage with a full band lineup. A tour as a quartet through Italy, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland marks the starting point of a new path that Philipp and Claus are embarking on with their own songs.
