About the song /
On February 26th will be released the 2nd track from Mourah's next album, Euphony (summer 2021, delayed due to Covid). Following Vagabond, Mourah's elegant and deep alternative pop develops further in this sublime track, Hashtag NotAlways, reminiscent of a certain melancholic trip-hop or the interwoven and haunting melodies of the more intimate works of legendary Prince. Now free and unconcerned by the expectations of music biz, which all too often favours the buzz of the moment rather than sincere and original artistic approaches, Mourah's ambition now is only to bring sparks of emotion to the listeners. To do this, he hopes to get the support of radios and media who would be able to perceive the quality of this new song and let the world know it. Just like the rest of the future album, this track was mixed and co-produced by the versatile Yvan Bing (Kitchen Studios, Geneva) and mastered by the indispensable Mandy Parnell (Black Saloon Studios, London). Mourah, a one-man orchestra, recorded and interpreted all the music.
About the music video /
Born in the most spontaneous way possible during a stroll along the wild Portuguese coasts and the streets of Lisbon in last December, the idea of developing images around this piece suddenly took shape. As the only material: a latest generation smartphone and the only gimbal in the region, found by chance in a back store, illegally open during lockdown. The plot here is woven with sublime landscapes and natural elements, bathed in generous and abundant light. The retinas vibrate and feel blessed, in this so troubled period. The result of the music video comes as a great surprise and a tribute to his country of birth.
