Who is “you-know-who”?
It’s all the billionaires who have led us to believe that they were offering us a united world where no one is alone, a “paradise” with immediate access to Everything. Looking out their window now, they can see a perishing Earth, but they just can’t let go of All that Power. (1% of the world population possesses 87% of the world’s riches). They must be dethroned if human life on Earth is to continue. It’s that simple.

I hope it’s not too hot today, wherever you may be.

The dust on my windowsill’s like sand from the Sahara/The grass that was so green is turning gold, then brown/I remember raging rapids and the whispering of a stream/the tender diamonds of the morning on a clover’s crown/Ô Great Spirit, please forgive me/I have sinned, yes I have lied/All the stars I sold to children/ were, in truth, just fireflies/Fireflies and pale blue lights give Illusion a halo/Fireflies in children’s eyes make Reality swirl/Ô Great Spirit, please forgive me/for my arrogance and pride/I have scorned the laws of Nature and crushed the flowers in my stride/Fireflies of the night shine no more when the day glows/Fireflies in children’s eyes make them blind to the world/But the world sees and the world is crying - one last tear ‘cause something is dying/The rivers shrink but the oceans are rising/The rivers shrink, the oceans rise, the oceans rise into barren skies/And where does the rain hide when the trees are burning?Where does the rain hide when the well is empty and the fields are dry?/Where does the rain hide?/No lightening, no thunder, only vapour trails on the horizon/The children may wonder “Just why have the clouds disappeared?”/And one day, I fear, they will water the fields with their tears/The rivers shrink, the oceans rise/An island sinks in the melted ice/The rivers shrink, the oceans rise/And what is upside-down looks right/There in the pale blue light, in the pale blue light of fireflies/There in the pale blue light, in the pale blue light of fireflies…
