From Geneva to Berlin – On the four-track remix ep, numeral brings together representatives from the current electronic underground. Fribourg producer Fels (Strecke Records/Blizzard Audio Club), who is known for his eclectic style of UK garage, liquid DnB and broken beats, opens the collaborative ep with his remix of the single Hideous, released in 2023. Geneva producer Owelle's contribution on the other hand is like the soundtrack from a dark circus ring with bizarre characters who get carried away in a mantra of IDM, breakbeats and glitch. Meanwhile, Neuchâtel-based film composer and electronica producer AUST (Enhanced Music/Blizzard Audio Club) and Berlin-based sound artist ASERET (Farewell/Waxing Phases) provide an immersive listening experience by skillfully interweaving downtempo electronica and ambient with an analog touch. Darkly shimmering, sometimes hypnotically danceable, sometimes dissolving in a maelstrom of bleeps, breaks and drones.
