In early March, I packed up my new Keybird X1 piano and a few analogue synths and headed to the beautiful Farelhaus in Biel. I spent a full day recording three new pieces in this stunning mid-century concert hall—each one composed specifically for this live setup, with the goal of capturing something raw, intimate, and true to the sound of the instruments.
The first of those pieces is out today—it's called Solace.
It’s a minimalist, cinematic soundscape that begins with a simple arpeggiated synth and slowly unfolds as a fragile piano motif emerges, blending into an evolving texture that swells into an emotional climax.
Alongside the release is a live video, filmed by Pascal Berger, that beautifully captures the atmosphere of the performance and the unique space. - Year of creation 2025
