I wrote “LEAVE MY FRIENDS ALONE” in one night after - within a single week - three close friends and my sister told me about abusive encounters with men that they had once again experienced. I believe that most male-presenting people are not aware of the sheer frequency of these everyday violations. So much needs to change, and it cannot be the responsibility of women alone to fight for it.
From the very first demo, I kept talking about the song with my close friends, and together we developed and filmed the music video.
