Recorded on the shores of Lake Grignon in Albertville (French Alps), Crossing Genres: Alpine Session is a cinematic cross-genre journey through melodic techno, rave, trance and psytrance — ending deep into forest territory around 150 BPM.
Filmed outdoors in broad daylight under the intense alpine summer sun, this session captures the raw energy of a real open-air performance environment — no club lighting, no artificial atmosphere, just music, landscape and progression.
Built as a progressive emotional arc rather than a fixed-style DJ set, the mix reflects Xta’J’s signature approach:
crossing genres, building tension, and guiding listeners through evolving sonic territories while remaining accessible to a wider electronic music audience. The set moves progressively from melodic and emotional textures into rave-driven energy, uplifting trance, psychedelic grooves and finally deeper forest influences for the closing section.
The session also features original productions by Xta’J, including:
• Rave Power (unreleased)
• Acid DropsTested on a real public dancefloor during a Swiss outdoor event, this mix was designed to work both as a listening journey and as a fully functional crowd experience.
Genres:
Melodic Techno • Rave • Trance • Psytrance • ForestRecorded in Albertville, France — 2026.
