Tuplain's musical passions are deep-rooted and far-ranging. Introduced to the piano at an early age and playing the trumpet first in a youth orchestra and later in a funk and soul band, the Swiss producer/compose developed a preference for tunes with a groove. Whilst Tuplain's work transcends genre and style, he focuses on tunes with swing, melody, vibe and live atmosphere.
The technological evolution of music production allows him to mostly work "in the box". He stitches together threads from jazz, disco, electro, soul, funk, but also various Latin American styles with live instruments and vocals. His music incorporates vintage references but is steadfastly forward-facing at the same time.
