UFFA is an alternative rock band from Ticino formed in 2023. The name is an Italian onomatopoeic interjection of a sigh, which represents exactly how frontman Noah Titren (lead vocals and guitar) felt about the frustrating absence of energetic rock music in southern Switzerland.
After his previous band (The Goldfish) disbanded, Noah began composing demos of new songs with a more catchy, punk sound and the new addition of Italian lyrics. Through a local band listing website, Noah met bassist Simone Barozzi and drummer Gioele Stanga (ex Twin Planet).
In 2024, the trio debuted with the single “L'aldilà”, self-produced by Noah and released in March 2024, and toured throughout Ticino, winning first place in the only local competition for bands, TicinoBands. By the end of the year, the band decided to enter the studio to record and then release the eagerly awaited new singles ‘Light Green’, ‘Unrested Heart’ and ‘If I Could’, currently the fans' favourite tracks during their concerts, thus amassing numerous digital plays on various online platforms. To elevate their concerts in 2025, Frank Santos (ex Doomsteps) joined them as lead guitarist, completing the line-up.
UFFA continues to light up the scene, combining old and new rock sounds for a unique live experience, hard-hitting guitar riffs and catchy melodies.
