Biography
Collie Herb is a Reggae & Dancehall-Artist based in Switzerland. Lyrics in dialect, carried by sounds from overseas. His songs are sometimes light-footed and colorful, sometimes thoughtful and poetic. Having grown up with the sound system culture, the stage is his home, making it burn is a duty.
Collie Herb follows his love of music consistently and with dedication, which has long been bearing fruit. Even abroad he was able to set the first exclamation marks: In 2012 he was on stage at the "Rototom Sunsplash", Europe's largest reggae festival in Spain. In 2014 he prevailed against hundreds of competitors in the "European Reggae Contest" until he was able to rock the crowd at the semifinals in Berlin and at the finals in Bordeaux. Back in Switzerland he played in the opening act for world stars like Shaggy or Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, the son of legendary Bob Marley.
Because the day has more hours than one can spend with gigs, promo dates and rehearsals, Collie Herb continues to work hard. He went to Paris for a few months in the summer of 2018 and worked there on upcoming projects at the Cité Internationale des Arts. In summer 2020 his third album "Collieversum" was released, entering the official Swiss album charts at # 5. His latest release is the “Jede Tag EP (10 Years Edition)”.
