Biography
Collie Herb plays music as though Switzerland was a tropical beach. In ten years, he has established himself with a powerful mix of urban reggae, dancehall and rap. Having grown up with the sound system culture, the stage is his home, to set it on fire is his duty.
His songs, with lyrics in Swiss dialect are light-hearted and colorful; poetic and compelling. In Switzerland, he established his name in the reggae scene where he plays in the opening act of world stars like Shaggy or Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, the son of Bob Marley. His music was honored in 2013 by Kt. Solothurn "Prize for Music". In the same year his debut album "Authentic" was released.
Internationally, he has also made his mark, in 2012 he was on the stage of "Rototom Sunsplash", Europe's largest reggae festival. In 2014, he prevailed against hundreds of competitors at the "European Reggae Contest". In autumn 2016, he released his second album "Bambus", which climbed to # 24 on the official Swiss charts.
Currently in Paris, Collie Herb is working on a new album at the 'Cité Internationale des Arts'. So, it does not matter if you want to celebrate the weekend with live music or need new material for the playlist: You can rely on Collie Herb again next year!
